Furiosa, a valkyrie-centaur in a dark red velvet gown

Furiosa

Valkyrie-centaur. Operatic soprano.

A valkyrie above the waist and a warhorse below it, Furiosa was built to carry heroes to the hall of the gods and sing them in. She has the voice for it: a classically trained soprano with a vibrato that could crack a shield wall. She also has a grievance. The hall never let her in, and she has decided that was its mistake.

She does not do jokes. She sings every line as if it were scripture, chin up, eyes forward, while the words around her go quietly insane. That gap is the act.

Helmuth, a horned goat-man with a drinking horn

Helmuth

Goat-man. Gravel, growl and the occasional fiddle.

Half man, half beast, all appetite. Helmuth sings with a rasp that starts as a tenor and ends somewhere in the cellar, and he is the one who explains the plan: roast the ravens, pawn the hammer, use the World Tree for firewood. He played the fiddle while Rome burned. He has not stopped since.

Where she brings the grandeur, he brings the drinking horn, the grin and the fire. They disagree about everything except the ending.
